  South Coast 22 Rudder Replacement

My SC22 came with extra parts & sails from a McGreggor 22. Here is my installation of the kick up rudder. Inspection of the rudder revealed bare wood below the waterline. Here's the pix.
I will use a router to remove 3/8 inch of the wood and fill it with chopped fiberglass and resin. This will give a good seal. Bolt holes will be enlarged, filled, sanded and redrilled thru the fiberglass plug to prevent waterlogging.
